Although Yorkuleles is run as a non-profit making club, it is still important that we comply with data protection rules including the latest GDPR regulations. This privacy policy sets out how we use and protect any personal information that you give us when you join this club.

What we may collect - usually at your first visit to the club:
Contact information, usually your email address will suffice but we may also collect your name and telephone number.
What we do with the personal data information we gather:
- We keep you informed of any future events such as parties and gigs
- changes to the way you access music for the sessions
- changes relating to the way the club is run
- the rare occasions when there may not be a club session for a particular week

The processing of your personal data is necessary for the legitimate interests of the Yorkuleles club.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
The list of members is kept by Tony Baldock solely and no-one else has access to the list.

How we use cookies

Retention of Data
We may delete your personal data if there is no reason for us to retain it, for example, if you have not attended a club session for 12 months and we assume that you no longer wish to remain a member.
Photographic Images
In order to enhance the website, occasionally photographs and videos may be used from events that we as club take part in. We don't intend to identify individuals in photos but a photo is considered as personal data so if there are any photos on this website that you do not want to be shown then you have the right to ask for them to be removed.
